First game of the season for ex-u19's Bright Phiri (Tuskers) and Tadiwanashe Nyangani (Eagles).

Daniel Jakiel (Eagles) finally makes his First Class debut.

A few national squad players are back but not all.

Chivanga has something about him. He looks sharp and causes a bit of a rush amongst the batters. I'd get him back in a zimbabwe squad asap. How many bowlers do we really have who can crank it up. Marumani showing a good level of discipline here

Loving Brad Evans, could take the bowling position of the spinner we have been failing to find in the longer format, and he can bat too.

7. Chakabva (wk)
8. Evans
9. Muzarabani
10. Nyauchi
11. Ngarava

Really refreshing. I think somebody's had a gentle word with him about his approach. Nice to see he has that in him

Chakabva won't bat that low again I don't think. Evans is a potential future number 6. Still needs to improve a fair bit with both disciplines, but it would be great to have a genuine seam all rounder at 6.
