Why though?? They should be showing these boys that they're the future and they're being looked at and thought about. How old is Schonken? He looked so handy with his leg spin.

He's only 16 tbf.

Meanwhile Welch's keeping has been all over the place today, but he's just taken a stunning catch off Ngarava!

eeeesh there's been some bad cricket on display here. This is definitely our worst format.

Sheunopa Musekwa sledging Welch hard after every ball - a sarcastic clap in his face as well  Welcome to men's cricket!

Zimbabwe can't do well in qualifiers by playing in these sort of tracks, where games are decided with 120-130+ scores. Pitches in qualifiers will be under ICC and will make fully batting oriented tracks, as the modern T20 format is all about smashing and setting big target. Zimbabwe needs to learn the art of chasing 180-190+ scores with 10@ over in these domestic T20 tournaments to do well in the qualifiers.

The northerns versus southerns games should produce better games. I like the concept. They should do it mid-season too. Definitely a step up from the 5 franchises.

Welch has got a long way to go. Talent is there. Time for the grind. His brother has done it the smarter way, hopefully he comes back 1 day.

Batting has been largely completely horrendous, but really nice bowling from Musekwa and Dube. And Evans earlier.
