Chelsea is playing Man City today and its interesting how a few people were analysing this. They were trying to calculate how much City will beat Chelsea given that they hummered ManU 6-2, ManU beat Arsenal 8-2, Arsenal beat Chelsea 5-3 then maybe a scoreline of say 19-7 is on the cards if you do the math. Its not going to happen that way though.
I have been thinking along those lines, given our recent perfomance against a few teams. We beat Bangladesh who have just lost by an innings and 180 odd runs inside 4 days, at home to a team that we could have easily drawn with. Pakistan came here with a team that many were saying was a weakened side but its almost the same side that beat SriLanka just recently.
Pakistan is just beating teams for fun, i feel we could have easily beat them in at least two matches that we gave away. NewZealand have just beat the Aussies who are coming from a hard fought drawn series in S.A. We could have easily drawn the test against the kiwies or even beat them had a few of our batsmen applied themselves a bit more.
I feel its a bit easier to motivate the guys against any team in the world if we analyse the games happening around. closely.
