If Zimbabwe lose this, they'll drop to last in the ICC ODI Rankings, and I wouldn't describe that as anything less than a disaster. Here are the possibilities:

A Kenya win would leave the bottom of the table looking like this ("Ch" is change in rating over the course of the tournament):

Either way it's a disappointment - we should have overtaken Ireland and gotten ourselves back into 10th by a comfortable margin - but 11th and a net increase of just 1 in our rating is now the best we can manage. Assuming the match doesn't get rained off again...

It was an unsatisfactory state of affairs, but staging the event at this time of year had always been a gamble. Cricket Kenya's hands were tied, however, as it needed to get hold of Ireland while they were in Africa for Intercontinental Cup matches and it had to make the most of Zimbabwe's availability as it needed matches against a Full Member country before the end of the year to fulfill a media deal with Nimbus.

Still wondering who was supposed to be broadcasting this series, I'm sure someone would have heard or read something by now if it in fact was being televised anywhere.

Certainly I would give Mupariwa a game tommorow and play with the three pacers of Boom Boom, Mpofu and mupariwa. Certainly there are too many spinners at the moment and you cant play them all. Hopefully Sibanda will be picked for the Sri lanka tour and that will further strengthen the side. Wonder what will happen with taibu when he arrives back in harare and what action ZC will take!!

Match abandoned - again. No reserve day for the final, so Kenya and Zimbabwe share the trophy.

I'd been looking forward to this series, but thanks to bad facilities (most of the blame seems to be going on poor drainage at the Gymkhana Ground), it's been a complete anti-climax...
