Weak squad but also a big chance for Evans, Campbell Jr, Marumani and Jongwe to stand out from the pack. Madande too. Could be a direct ticket to the senior team.

In a way I am more excited about this tour. This is a much more exciting squad than the Board XI and they will play in front of packed houses in Nepal.

I am interested to see how Tony Munyonga goes, grounds are very small in Nepal and he is a big hitter.

How much has Trevor Gwandu paid for his place?

Rest of the squad is fine, apart from maybe Kaia.

Probably still get beaten though if Nepal put out their strongest team. Not sure if they will though.

I agree. This will be a real test. A proper "A" team experience with the pressure of big crowds.

I'm backing Marumani to also do some damage.

My 11 from this squad:

Marumani
I kaia
Maunze
Munyonga (spare bowler)
R kaia
Madande (wk)
Evans (2)
Mavuta (5)
Jongwe (3)
Masara (4)
Nyauchi (1)

12th man
Mutombodzi
Tsiga
Gwandu
Campbell

Nyauchi will tear through Nepal so can see us winning this series, this squad looks almost as strong as the main team that’s playing SA. Still can’t believe Nyauchi is not in the main team, such a joke.

I'm happy with Brad Evans selection, hope he finds a way to get into the main team that plays the qualifier in July. It is a big opportunity for Evans.

Rest of the squad is ok. Would have liked to see some more younger players though, especially from the U19s. Matt Welch could have been in there.

Nyauchi/Evns/Jongwe is a great bowling line-up for an 'A' team, but that batting lineup is very very very poor. Quite feasible we'll struggle to get past 100 if Nepal play their full team - Lamichhane et al
