Dont discount that happening. The political trough, where everyone thinks they might be a minister one day, with untold millions, or the dead certainty ZC one. That would cause anxiety.

Rajput has done a press conference this afternoon with some 'journalists', and has once again blamed injuries - saying he is missing several key players and this has been the case throughout the past two years - he has rarely ever had a first eleven available.

He's also said his players are not 'hungry enough' and 'don't have a winning mentality' unlike 'people in my country, India, where we always want to win every game no matter what'.

He says Williams, Ngarava and Masakadza will all be available for the Qualifiers and that Zimbabwe should be 'very well placed for that tournament and feeling confident to qualify'. He also sort of alluded that this coming T20 series against Afghanistan will be a write off already

Surely it's the coaches job to make players hungry to win, to motivate them, to create a good team culture and atmosphere and some ambition.

No coach can work miracles and turn average players into world dominating superstars overnight........but all the soft skills and extra off field stuff, that is LITERALLY his job wtf.

Is there anything riding on this T20 series? There's no points or anything?

I remember Andy Flower one game calling all the fielders into the middle and cussing them loud and long for a couple of fielding errors. He was absolutely furious. His will to win and belief was extraordinary. You can only have that sort of captain if you've got the right sort of blokes around you.
I don't think that would go down well in this team, plus you might get arrested
Everyone wants to win, but some guys are just off the chart competitive, and he was one of them and dragged others along with him. Our guys actually do lack belief, and understandably so, we just don't remotely have the fire power.

Ya in a perfect world that "hobby" statement he made would bite him. What person has a long term hobby of failing dismally at something and fucking it into the ground beyond repair? Try golf.

We live in an outcomes based culture. Besides being a personal 'hobby' the sport has not only remained in stasis but more than that it is in retrograde in terms of results. Losing to namibia and nepal WTF.
And the glee and maliciousness by some towards streak and Taylor was below the belt.
You need unifiers in sport not dividers. The ZC statement on streak drawing comparison with a rapist was sickening
