It's sad that someone who contributed a lot to the forum many years ago and is clearly capable of being a decent poster when he actually wants to be, has resorted to such obvious blatant trolling. It's not even good trolling.
Ryan Burl a better bowler than Graeme Cremer hahahahah
Next you'll be telling us that Roy Kaia is a better quality test batter than Sean Williams.

I wouldn't call it trolling per se. Hyper critical, yes.
At any rate let me retract my statement.
I definitely never intended to say Burl is better than Cremer.

Burl is definitely capable with the ball, but he just lacks consistency. He was fantastic today, but a lot of the time he plays like the local village pie chucker.
Let's hope he puts in more performances like today going forward
Also they need to bat him up the order. He's a batter first and foremost, and a good one at that.

I think Cremer was a grittier batter. Certainly upped.his game in that regard towards the end of his career.
Burl certainly can belt it though on his day.

I know you didnt really mean Burl was better but in terms of t20 average Cremer has good economies with all of the latter sides. He only messed up agaisnt NZ and SA. Anyway even so, sometimes stats dont paint the whole pictureKriterion_BD wrote: ↑Sat Jun 11, 2022 10:06 pmNot joking at all. Check Cremer's averages against countries like Canada/Kenya/Bermuda and compare it to the averages against India/Australia/Pakistan.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Sat Jun 11, 2022 4:09 pmLol are you joking?!?! Cremer was literally TWICE the spinner Burl is wtf.
Burl had a great day today though, pleased for him

I hate the media sometimes, what a clickbait title.

Exactly never found a spinner good enough to be in the team only for his bowling ..luckily Raza and burl upped their spin bowling game or we were doomed but both can't play just for their bowling like cremer did

Deliberately writing something down is a bit different from blurting something outKriterion_BD wrote: ↑Sat Jun 11, 2022 11:32 pmI wouldn't call it trolling per se. Hyper critical, yes.

At least stick to your guns, you've just exposed a fine yellow streak there
I've long believed that Burl could actually be much more than a part timer. The problem is it takes hours of practice, something that none of our players are prepared to put in.
That stems from a toxic and negative environment and from admin continually meddling in cricket affairs, something which they know nothing about.
I think some of our problem is actually the senior players. I'm not sure they're a cohesive unit amongst themselves and they're not personally doing well enough and you have to earn the right to be called a senior player. Ten years of being a mediocre national player should not a senior player make.
We haven't seen Masakadza for a while, but these guys need to stop picking guys as "specialist" spinners who clearly don't make the grade internationally, it's embarrassing having your "part timers" bowl better line and lengths than the specialist.
Re: 1st T20I Vs Afghanistan, 11th June
Raza bowled an interesting line yesterday. Leg stump and the batters were playing him with a straight bat for singles instead of sweeping him. He kept them quiet. I think they'll have a different approach today.

Not likely to defend 8 off the last over, but Jongwe would have been my pick to bowl it. You have to have slower balls in your arsenal in this format, something Blessing needs to work on.
Chatara bowled some beautiful yorkers and with late swing at the back end of the game, dunno where that late swing came from.
I've never understood why guys save yorkers for the back end of a game, if you can bowl them then get going with them in the powerplay. We don't seem to have a quick that can bowl wide yorkers, Jongwe maybe.
