The brain of an ant is actually a compliment. Ants are Hella smart actually.

Did you that ants can actually keep track of their steps and direction without the use of a fitbit or Apple watch? This is because ants are very susceptible to destination if they are out of their nest for too long.

If you took our smartphones and Google away, all of us would die within 72 hours I'd stranded in the Outback but ants and other animals have survived for eons.

That HSC deck is a problem. You can't have a pitch where the game is decided on the toss. They need to re-lay at least 3 decks with clay from 3 different sources and see how they go because its ridiculous. Or of course we pray we win the toss and have a fighting chance
It's the start time that is the main issue, not necessarily the pitches. If you started games at 9am in England it would be the same.

Just get some lights!

The rumours were that Gucci Grace objected to them because she didn't want to see them from her garden. How much of a cricket fan is Croc's Mrs? Or Chamisa's for that matter

The one thing that is a game changer for me is the sidearm.
A good guy on the dog stick can give you all the nastiness you need as a batsman. I'll bet ZC don't even give the staff new balls  and the batters don't have enough bats to get them fucked up against the new ball in the nets
There's such a gap in the market for an aluminium or some type of plastic bat that saves your 400-800 dollar bats.

:
After the second ODI Williams said they do use the side arm and that they face that Aussie kind of pace regularly using bowling machines. It's probably really just fear that has made them look hopeless over the years

Finally calmed down from the high to give a more detailed response.

Was so nice to see us on aussie shores again. Needs to happen more often. Winning in Australia as well, what a feat, especially as it was a full strength Aussie squad. One gets the idea that some of the Aus players couldn't care less, but I feel there are deeper issues within Aus cricket for this.

Rather than doing each player, I'm doing it on role.

Batting: Was much better to see some of the not usual suspects getting some decent scores. Raza and Williams would have definitely been worked on hard by Aus, and it showed. Perhaps some of the others took them by surprise. Kaia is not an ODI player. Marumani has talent, but his persistence to keep going to the big shot needs to be worked on. He didn't middle any of them and his body shape is all wrong. He needs to work on that and get it right. If he does, he could become a very important player for us in the future. We do need to be better at rotating the strike. We only have two modes, go hard, or super slow. We need to work on playing the ball around and keeping the score ticking. We can't keep playing with the mentality we have. Our foot movement needs to be better. Far too often we found ourselves stuck to the crease and it meant we lifted the ball for a catch, or were finding the edge a lot. We need to be better at foot movement. The youngsters have the talent, but they just need to start putting some consistency and level-headedness together with it.

Bowling: This is not our best bowling attack, so there is some excitement about what we can do. Ngarava is young, so he can still get better, but I want to see him do a bit more with the ball. Evans is definitely our best bowler at the moment when Blessing is not there. At times I felt we were just trundling down and sending the ball to the other end without thought. Would like to see plans being implemented and thought behind what we are doing. Showing that we have plans for certain batters too. Not sure how deep our analysis goes, can't imagine it's much.

Fielding Nothing particularly stood out as terrible. Evans almost dropped the catch in the 3rd game but recovered well. Nothing as bad as Finch's drop. Can definitely be something we utilise as our strong point as is something that is easier to work on than the others.

If madhvere bats lower, he would probably score more runs short term yeah. But you wanna put the young guys in the tough positions so you dont have a real messed up transition. SL famously didnt do that with Sanga and Mahela and we`re taking so long to recover. Think batting wes or shumba or whoever up there is the right move ultimately

Very good point. One could say Burl's batting has never really improved because he bats so low. The pressure that comes with batting up the order is the best teacher. For somebody like Wes it's about turning those 50s to 70s then hundreds. It's a process. Marumani has probably learnt more in the last 3 weeks than he has for a year. The pressure he was under was unreal for a 20 year old. He is the youngest of the new generation

The inability to rotate strike is actually the difference between good and really good. It's not easy.

Kaia's lack of foot movement is a big problem as well. Can get away with it against lesser bowling, but as soon as he's under the scrutiny of a really good attack he's exposed.

Ya maybe the early start is the difference on the decks, Secret, you might be right. As I said earlier maybe thats our weapon, we hope we win the toss. I'm not being facetious either.
That early start is only essential in winter, we're into summer now, could easily start at 10am now.
