I don't get too excited about domestic form. Our domestic level is so low. It's about the step up to international for me. Marumani has the skills, but he evidenced a lot of his inexperience in the Aus series. His inability to regulate his shots and when to do them, makes him a walking wicket. He goes hard, but when he does, his shape and form are all over the place, so again, has all the skills, but needs to hone them and get them right.
Sure, I get the point about domestic cricket and not reading too much into it. Although 290 runs from 5 T10 matches at an average of about 60-ish and a strike rate of 225+ is miles ahead of anyone else. Also last last season I think he scored 4 50's in 5 matches in the franchise T20.
And we do have decent coaches now for once. I think it's okay to be excited about this young man.

Ngarava
Evans
Blessing
Chatara
Who does he best in that lineup!?
Chatara would be neck and neck with him, but in a tihrkant like this, you go with the proven performer.
Chatara is also unlikely to get a game bat injury as the three above him on that list are starting to streak away from the pack, and then there’s Jongwe who also adds some batting skill.
