Googly, Ben was born in the U.K.

Doggy, yep, get that passport and you could be playing for Poland! The ICC regs are you must either have a full passport (obtained through means in line with the countries normal nationality laws) or do a 3-year residence period. It’s pretty easy to play international cricket for some minor associate if you really want to!
So my
Maltese passport should have me opening the batting for Malta 🇲🇹

So am I right in saying he is an upgrade on our opening guys atm, but albeit a small one?

He wouldnt be in the 'automatically in the team' box would he?

More Greg Lamb than BT?

Despite not really having the stats to back it up, I kinda feel Zimbabwe has more genuine opening options than ever before.

As I said the stats probably don’t show it, but from what I’ve seen I think Innocent Kaia, Takudzwanashe Kaitano, Kevin Kasuza & possibly Tadiwanashe Marumani have potential to be good opening batsman.

I have seen very little of Ben Curran, but from the below highlights he definitely looks like more of a limited overs batsman rather than an accumulator of runs or an anchor

Just me, or do those bowlers look slower than Tiripano?

This is the risk of pursuing a County career. There is a good chance you don't play that many official games and it just doesn't look good.

I'm sure if he is good enough he will dominate the domestic scene. It doesn't take long to stand out this side but you have to show up and perform if you have so few official games. I credit him for showing up and giving it a go unlike Murray who was rumoured to want the red carpet treatment.
