Zimbabwe VS Scotland T20WC2022 21st October

Post by lobsang »

lets hope that the rain stays away to effect a result, hopefully Ervine will be fine to lead the team for this do-or-die match. And guys when will the game start according to local time? going by AccuWeather, there will be no rain until 8 pm so if the game starts at 3 pm, it will surely be over by 8 pm.

I'm thinking first innings will be done and we will get around 5 to 10 overs of 2nd innings... Can't see a full game... So it is going to be very tricky.

Whatever it is, let's hope we get a result. At least it won't be as frustrating when we don't get a result and Zim get knocked out.

All the best, qualifying will cap a good year. Or the voodoo of not getting to play England will keep us out ;)

I'm hoping fate won't be so kind on both European nations, today Netherlands qualified ahead of Namibia, hope tomorrow it will be lucky for an African Nation.

If we win, then it will depend on run rate whether we finish 1st or 2nd.

1st puts us in the India-Pakistan group. 2nd in the England-Australia group.

I'm guessing we'd pretty much all universally want to go into the England group? Zim-England remains pretty much the biggest cricket fixture imaginable for most Zim supporters I think.

While I don't want to put the cart before the horse, yes, it would be ideal to have them in that group to help remind them about the chicken farmer win again.

I would say zimbabwe to bat first tomorrow.
If scotland set a chase anything over 125 zimbabwe will implode badly given their mental fortitude.

Zim should set the pace and be bold. There will be no alzarri joseph 145 km yorkers tomorrow but disciplined bowling there certainly will be
