It may well be that ZC are not unhappy with the opportunity to try a couple of new guys?
Not that I agree with that sentiment.
I won a $100 bet that Makoni would get the nod.
He's done well enuf in domestic, fair play to him.

I also think DH is genuinely trying to build some sort of "squad". The reality of the game in 2023 is that with so many T20 tournaments plus an increase in international matches you can't survive with 15 guys anymore. Especially with our older players always getting injured.

It's an opportunity for some guys. I always say never blame a player for getting selected. It's their dream come true. The brains trust are the ones who put their necks on the line and so far for the past 8 months it has worked. You never know it could be the month we see a Makoni stepping up like how Kaia did

Just realised that Raza is playing in the ‘Eliminator’ tomorrow for the Dubai Capitals, if they are indeed eliminated can he make it back in time for the 2nd Test?

Imagine getting Williams & Raza back for the 2nd Test

No, he’s committed to 100% of the PSL and that starts on Monday.

Realistic changes for the 2nd test?

Chivanga in for sure. Not sure who should sit out. Possibly Nyauchi unless Ngarava is injured.

I’d bring Shumba in for Chamu but I don’t think they will sadly.

Looking forward to seeing what Chivanga can do in what is 110% his best format.
