Is it Dennis Streak? I remember he represented Zim at bowls at a Commenwealth Games, thus becoming an international player at 2 sports

Absolutely stunning reply and reasoning. Hats off to you, alan132.

It is indeed the father of the legend, a great servant of the game himself, Denis Streak.

What makes the answer more special is that this photo could well be the only one available online of the great man. I have searched a lot before and had never found a photo of his until recently. Here is the article from where I got this one (He is talking about the cost him and his team had to incur to travel to NZ to participate in World Championship of Lawn Bowls, thanks to hyperinflation): http://www.stuff.co.nz/the-press/news/c ... rch/209077

Would have thought of awarding more than a point if the rules had allowed :)

Thanks :) .

My Dad used to play and follow bowls, so I remember reading an article in a UK paper..the Daily Telegraph I think...some time ago about Denis Streak being selected to represent Zimbabwe at bowls quite a few years after playing cricket for Zimbabwe.
You may even be able to track the article down on the internet with a bit of luck :)

There was one more available photo during the world cup at england (Johnson's WC). He was sitting with his wife watching a game and that was published in Sportstar. It must b there in my archives. But this one is great, i especially like the dress. Fabulous
