Ya it's a shame Indonesia felt the need to field a couple of 30 year olds today though.

Zimbabwe finish 16th out of 16, which is awful. But tough when almost all of the team only started playing cricket at age 15/16.

I have a distant relative who is in the side, although I don't personally know them well. Word from the family grapevine is that it's been a harrowing experience for quite a few in the squad, who have been really upset by the results.

Who were the coaches, Secret?
That's drawing the short straw.

It was supposed to be Sinikiwe Mpofu but she passed away two weeks before the tournament, which must have hit the squad quite hard.

Trevor Phiri and Trevor Garwe the coaches in the end I believe.

Rwanda beat the Windies today. They seem like a decent bowling unit for the womens game. Good to see an African side doing well.

Seems like a lot of investment is going into cricket in Rwanda at the minute.

A lot of money spent on the two ‘international’ grounds and they have paid in full for a few series plus hosting the qualifiers.

No idea where the money is coming from but an 18 match tri series has got to cost a few dollars.

On the contrary, cricket is showing progress in becoming a global game when Rwanda can beat Zim and WI.

Isn’t Rwanda becoming some Wakanda African utopia atm or is that pro black excellence spin?

Couple of more positive Zim things I just learnt;

Sarah Dambanevana, a Zimbabwean female umpire, was the standing umpire during the world cup final.

Rwanda (who beat Zimbabwe and the Windies) - were coached by Zimbabwean Leonard Nhamburo.
