I know Raza has PR guys but he is firmly a fan favourite. I have never seen a cricketer as loved as him in Zimbabwe. Not even BT at his peak. I guess there are results too this time.

Ya I said similar last week I think. He’s a big national celebrity, I’m not sure I’ve seen a cricketer as universally mainstream popular as him before in Zim.
Will go up another level when he plays IPL

This man should be the poster boy for young cricketers - or even some of our current crop.
Look at what you can achieve if you work hard and perform well. You get contracts in other leagues, earn more money. Become an economic asset in terms of sponsors and social. It should really be the, "this is what you can achieve with hard word in cricket".
So many of our guys just get content with making the national team and nothing more. No desire to want to be better and work harder on their craft. We have players with huge appearance numbers and terrible stats.

I think Sean Williams could have been that poster guy. He is one of the best players with very good batting and bowling averages but does not seem to put enough hard work on his game. He is definitely better than Raza with his batting but does not have the temperament to be a watch winner. We often see him throw away his wicket without taking a team home. He also seems to be content with his game and does not play/get picked by international t20 leagues.
