I would drop Evans for Chatara
Drop Wes for Chibhabha
Drop Wellington for Mavuta

Chibhabha
Kia
Ervine
Ballance
Raza
Burl
Madande wicket keeper
Mavuta
Chatara
Ngarava
Nyauchi

Plenty of bowling options between those players

Evans stays in for me , don't need Wellington as Burl and Raza are the spin options. Bring in another batsman
Wes stays in and bats down the order

I’m not desperate to see Chamu play tbh, I’d rather one of the following options

A) Stick with Wes

B) Give Marumani a go

C) Open with Madande & drop Wes down the order

D) open with one of the middle order guys

Keeping in mind when Williams returns, surely one of the middle order guys has to open, unless of course everyone shuffles down a spot and Madande opens.

Zimbabwe often takes the option of sacrificing someone out top rather than push everyone up a spot, I thought DH might be different but opening with an out of sorts Wes and hiding Ballance at No.4 shows he isn’t.

Wes out for Chamu (sad that it's gotten to this point but Wes is in disgusting form) and probably give Mavuta a game, that's the only changes I'd make for the second ODI. Could probably give Chatara a game too if they want to manage the workload of the pacers.

Many of us are not realizing the importance of that six hit by Evans in that last over. He was probably not out as well or even otherwise he is capable of playing some important knocks at No. 8 or No. 9 to go with his bowling.

What are the expectations of a bowling all rounder like Evans , he should at least maintain an average of 20 runs per game and take 2 wickets or bowl very tight and maintain a good economy.

His bowling has been erratic lately.I am sure he will bounce back.

I would like to know what his stats are lately?

An economy of 20 makes him better than Mcgrath and Dale Steyn

Evans has one mediocre game and its all fire and brimstone from some quarters.
We are a fickle lot on this forum. Did he not get a five fer against india and won us match against pakistan recently in world cup?
