How did they only manage to play 1.5 overs all day at Old Hararians?!?! We got 100 overs in up the road at HSC.

Anyone know what happened?

Problem with the run ups I think.

Interesting that Jayden Schadendorf (Not Dane - this is the other one who I think has had 'problems' in England) is with the Eagles squad this week.
I remember Jayden was killing it for the U19s side and everyone thought his name was ‘Trent Jayden’

Looked a real old school mid-90s Zimbo player, big barrel cheated lad who could hit a long ball and bowl handy mediums.

Really fallen off the face of the earth though

Another decent opening stand for Gumbie and Compton.

Gumbie is oozing in confidence at the minute, always helps when you have someone as class as Compton at the other end.

Been watching his technique and it is very unusual, almost all his weight on his back leg. He can’t drive or play full deliveries well but he has a great cut shot.

Don’t know if it’s his form at the minute but this seems like a different Gumbie to what we have seen in the past.

I wonder if his keeping his improved any?

Both Compton and Gumbie were given out lbw to shocking calls by the umpires.

Gumbie was hit about a foot outside the line and he deserved a ton.

Compton actually hit the ball ffs.

If it wasn’t for those calls both players would have been batting all day.

Only fair that Compton gets some bad decisions…..otherwise he’d be averaging about 1,000 probably  he’s ridiculous

Wickets have been better this season, making a few of the bowlers toil when in previous seasons they would have been taking cheap wickets for fun.

Both matches drawn with very little play possible over the four days sadly. Those three debutants will be hoping they get another opportunity.

As Googly has mentioned elsewhere, Matt Parkinson is on his way over to play the last couple of games. I hear there’s a ‘county batsman’ on his way too but not sure of the identity yet. ?

I wonder if Parkinson is aware that the next round appears to have been postponed and they're capable of postponing them further without mentioning it to anyone. You get to hear about two days before from someone who heard a rumour. Such a weird way to do things.

Next round is on the 4th? Same day as the test starts.

They’ve done pretty well at sticking to published fixtures so far this season up until now
