Waller/matsikenyeri
taibu (if not disipline matter or injury)
chigumbura
mutiza
dabengwa
utseya
price
creamer
rainsford

Court hearing on Taibu's case is on Feb 6th. Has he made himself unavailable? So, Sean Williams' see-saw battle with his mind continues. Keeping these in mind, I would go for this line-up:

Masakadza
Dabengwa (Yes, I still want him to open. Even though Sibanda got some form back, he was too slow. We don't lose much if Dabengwa goes bang-bang and gets out - For once, I am feeling that he is not getting "enough opportunuties" to showcase his batting talent :))
Sibanda
Waller
Mutizwa
Chigumbura (He would float around in the batting order, and would come out whenever we need him to blast-off!)
Cremer
Utseya
Price
Mupariwa
Rainsford

Yes, it is a team with 7 bowlers, but they are better than Matsikenyeri anyway, with the bat.

I do agree with Crimson that for once we should give Keith ample time to exploit opposition bowlers. After all he is one among few gutsy guys who hit their first ever ball in Test cricket for a great six.
It will be interesting to see him in this new role. Waller should also be given maximum number of matches to establish him and compensate for William's loss.

And for heaven's sake, we have seen enough of Matsikenyeri. I don't want him to be picked, and out of the blue hit some 30 odd quickfire runs, and cement his place for the next 6 months. We have a lot of cricket coming up this year, and this is the right time to look beyond him. He has been in the team for over 6 years now, and the only match-winning / match-saving ODI knock I can think of was his 44 in England, when he gave good support to Grant Flower to guide us home. Other than that, he has hit a few 50s when the writing was already on the wall, and those scores made little difference to the team. His inability to win the match for Zimbabwe against Ireland in WC 2007 should have been the last straw.

I don't want to offend any fans here, but seriously, with this kind of track record, he can't be picked even for the Chinese team.

Rainsford has a groin strain, that's why he's not playing.
