more bad news guy just heard that the very promising under 19 players prince masvaure and hughes dinemira have gone to play at the south African academy in joburg
also Danial Landman has gone to study at Kent university in the UK whilst wicket keeper Justin gaisford has gone to study at the university of western Australia
these players were the core of the last under 19 side we cant afford to lose these players, this week i was hopefull about the future but now after more players leaving and the state of the club scene i find my self very very worried about the future of zim cricket

Not very good news, on the face of it.
We should remember how old these four are though, Masvaure is 20, Dinembira 18, Landman and Gaisford 19, it may not mean that they are lost to Zimbabwean cricket in the long term, especially if things begin to improve politically at home.
They have all gone to further their education, hopefully in both the classroom and on the field, if life in Zimbabwe does improve then there is a good chance that they will return to represent their country.
With any luck they will see a reason to return, i don't think it's a surprise that the likes of Gary Ballance have stayed to qualify in England as there didn't seem to be much of a future for Zimbabwean cricket when he made his choice, maybe things will be different for the younger players now.

its a fair point that they are young and in 4 or 5 years the hopefully will return
on the situation of gray ballance i think that's more to do with the fact that his uncle David houghtan is very critical of the Zimbabwe situation and Zimbabwe cricket as a whole so there will be no chance of him going back

Gary Ballance has played English county cricket for Yorkshire last year. So,I also think that it will be very unlikely for his prospective to return in Zimbabwe leaving the English county cricket. Moreover,he can qualify for England playing 4 years there.
As the information says Landman and Gaisford have gone overseas for study. So,they can definitely return finishing their study.Masvaure and Dinemira went to play at the South African Academy.I amnt so sure about their return unless the situation changes in Zimbabwe and as there are lots of players currently who are playing club cricket overseas rather than returning to Zimbabwe.
Let's see what happens!

Welcome to the board, Tinashe!
I think we just start to worry every time we hear about players leaving Zim, for whatever reason - Zim has lost so much talent through people getting fed up with the situation back home. But playing in the overseas leagues is good experience, and if the guys are still hoping to play for the national side in future, then it's all good.
