Retired hurt, but a very clever piece of bowling by Wes to cause it. Saw what the bat was trying to do and took all the pace off. No wonder Masoood ended up going down like that

That’s why I tend to lean more towards Mavuta than Wellington. Mavuta has more ability with the bat, and he has more tricks with the ball. If the brains trust feel Raza, Williams & Wes are as good if not better options at ‘stalling an innings’ why not pick Mavuta as the joker in the pack?Crastle_cog wrote: ↑Thu Jun 29, 2023 1:26 pm
Trust me. I was going to say the exact same. People were talking about Ray Price getting his overs done with 25-30. Welli doesn't do much worse either. Why doesn't he get his full quota more often than not?

Fucking bowl wellington. Get the run rate above 10. End the match. They'll crumble under pressure. These omani batters aren't used to this.

Our seamers definitely aren’t getting anything out of the deck like theirs did. Maybe the moisture is gone and the ‘tacky-ness’ has gone from the wicket.
Although Zimbabwe scored 332, I feel the pitch is much easier to bat on now. Zimbabwe need some wickets soon.

This Prajapati dude can play
Outrageous shot against Wes there!
Tbh I don’t remember him playing a false shot or even looking like getting out at all.

This is the key, absolutely. Have to up the rate and build pressure. They won’t be able to copeCrastle_cog wrote: ↑Thu Jun 29, 2023 1:36 pmFucking bowl wellington. Get the run rate above 10. End the match. They'll crumble under pressure. These omani batters aren't used to this.
