I became very frustrated after not getting any current news about Andy Blignaut.I posted an
e-mail to the official website of Highveld Lions,where Blignaut last played official cricket.It seems that he hasnt played any cricket after playing for Highveld Lions.I suspect even not in the club level as there is no such news about it in the net.
I am happy that they have replied my e-mail.That's what they wrote about Blignaut:

Andy went back to Zimbabwe after the 2006 cricket season. I tried his cell phone a few times, but unsuccessful. I think he was one of the players who got a raw deal from Zim cricket.
However, end of last season he was in Parys, FS and had someone to phone me just to say “Hi”. We all hope he is fine. I will keep your mail and forward it to Andy if I hear from him again.

I also hope for the same.Andy Blignaut is really a player to watch out for,especially for his aggressive hard hitting batting and fast bowling.He can definitely fill the role of a pace all rounder in the team which Zimbabwe is lacking at this moment.Then Zimbabwe can easily include 3 spinners in the 11 without hesitation.
