Alistair Frost is very close to being selected by Ireland.

Why is Ireland still seem as more appealing than Zimbabwe? Zimbabwe play more games and are guaranteed a spot at the 2027 CWC.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

Easy money, make the cheese with a 17 ball 7 then enjoy the dressing room culture once the inevitable rain stops play.

Lifestyle and security. Zim cricket may be on the up, but things can always change in a moment, particulalry around election time.

Not lifestyle. I refuse to believe the lifestyle in Ireland is better than Zim, for someone from a relatively well-off family? The UK is a dump as it is and then I imagine Ireland is basically the same but even duller and colder and quieter?

Security maybe in terms of cricket. I wonder how much Irish central contracts are worth though? I can't imagine they are much higher than what our national players are currently getting this year.

Saw an interview with Frost saying his ambition is to play for Ireland. They've got some T20's with India this month and after recent performances he is in with a shout. Good luck to him.

Hopefully with ZC moving in the right direction the next generation of guys will be more trusting and we will start losing fewer over time.

Nick couldn't make the 50 over side yesterday. If he can't make that then he must be on borrowed time with Leicestershire.
