It's a no brainer. Zimbabwe in 2023 is better respected than Zimbabwe in May 2022. Yes, people look at the results and that is exactly why they would have got a better deal. Why are you only talking about WCQ? And even here Zimbabwe won more games than in 2018.Kriterion_BD wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 8:34 pmHow do you figure that necessarily? ZIM actually did worse at the 2023 WCQ (4th place) than in 2018 (3rd place) in terms of where they finished. In both tournaments they were knocked out by a team that itself did not qualify for the WC. For most outsiders, the end results still look very much the same.
2019 they were not even part of T20WCQ but in 2022 they qualified and even made it to the main Super 12 round and then beat the eventual runners up.
I mean I need not even repeat this all over again, we all know the results of ZCT over the last 15 months and of you even remotely follow ZC you'd know they are far better than preceding years.
Going by your logic, since Bangladesh have more or less done the same in every WC (failed to make the Semi Finals even once) we should consider that Bangladesh cricket has not progressed at all in last 20 years?
You are a good member who generally posts good stuff, I don't know what's wrong with you these days!
