Yup, One off test in May. ECB says it is the start of resumption of bilateral ties between the two countries.

"but the venue is yet to be confirmed" Wonder where the game will end up, probably some smaller ground up North

Wow, such generosity, 4 days less 2 for rain and bad light interruptions, match to be played on some spare pastureland on Dartmoor if there's not too much horse and sheep shit around, highlights on youtube if Old Bert from the local pub can find his mobile phone and the instructions, Zim squad to be given homely and welcoming accomodation in HMP Dartmoor where mixed cells, sorry suites, are available in the Ballance Wing, no racism to be seen here

Four days should be enough for Zimbabwe to wrap up victory. If it is sent to a smaller ground hopefully it is somewhere nice like Taunton.

This does highlight the ridiculousness of Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, and Ireland not being part of the test championship. We exist in some sort of no-mans land.

"England were due to be the only one of the 12 ICC full members not to play Zimbabwe in an bilateral series as per the 2022-2027 future tours programme. For the ECB, the move is part of a concerted effort to re-position itself as an ally to full member nations who had previously been overlooked for Test cricket."

England must be trying to get a vote from Zim on something. I doubt they are doing it out of the goodness of their hearts.

Typical England waiting until BT was banned and more than likely any combination of Ervine, Raza and Williams will be retired. They knew we would have hammered them with those chaps.

Surprised they didn't push for a one day declaration game.
They're full of shit.

How can you just casually change the format like that in an official test ?
