Has a squad been finalised yet?

No. But we can assume anyone who is missing domestics on Friday is in the squad.
I hear Welch is in

Didn't expect welch to get in straight away but ig it's hard to leave him out considering his ability. The series against namibia will also help in integrating him into the team.

Considering Namibia beat us 3-2 in the last T20 series we played I don't think this series is too low for anybody. This is a full time job as somebody mentioned on another post. The least you can do is at least pitch up for the regional and international games. All of them.55727835 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 18, 2023 8:13 amRaza is in the Middle East at the moment for the Hajj so he may not be back for the series.
Willy likely isn't interested at this point in his career in competing in the lower-end international games so I wonder if he'll play. If both of them are out, it's a pretty safe bet for Welch to slide into the Namibia squad. I'd imagine a Wes/Marumani will safely take the other slot.
T20s is a game of very fine margins. We shouldn't take qualification for granted and assume these kids will deliver. On the other hand if the kids also do deliver you have got to think some guys in the suits upstairs will start asking why exactly we pay for 37 year olds to clock in for work twice a month. Its not the wisest of moves if you ask me.
Rajput's plan of only playing the kids in T20s will be implemented one day. I have no doubt about that. Don't give them an excuse to implement it too early

Looking back at all the teams that we play I have full respect for the Australians because they fielded a full strength team. It shows a level of mutual respect even though we didn't deserve it. We should treat a team like Namibia with the same respect

We've had so little cricket you'd think everyone will turn up.
I'm sure they will. Raza may well appear.
Faraz played well in that NPL final, batted particularly well.
He gets it to swing with not a lot of pace. I'm surprised at him being in the squad though.
I'd be giving Musekiwa some specialised coaching. I have a feeling about this guy. I see him and Evans ultimately competing for the seaming all-rounder spot.

Looking at those training photos……is that Mayavo?
And Carl Mumba?!?!? I think?
Are we maybe sending an A-style squad for this one?!

It's a training squad. Probably a bloated 30 man thing before eventually being trimmed down.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Wed Oct 18, 2023 4:05 pmLooking at those training photos……is that Mayavo?
