Awful reaching shot by Wes. He should be nowhere near the national side at the moment.
Was just going to post this. I feel for him a little in terms of him coming in at 5/6 in T20s when he should be opening the batting but over the last two years he has placed no value on his wicket at all. He needs to be shown that he does not have the divine right to be selected. Makes runs for the Emerging side and then we can look at him again in a year or so.

Mavuta is having a serious game here. Welch was dropped off the first ball of his spell as well.

If the Rhinos get Welch here they are right in the game. If Welch take the Eagles home it will be hard to leave him out of the Ireland series.

Mavuta for Ireland series after this performance surely? Only one to score 50 for his team, then takes 1/20 odd in a full quota

Good knock from welch dawg.

Ya Mavuta should be in the squad for the Ireland shenanigans.

I saw Mavuta's spell slightly differently. He just bowled wide of off and they had so many overs in hand they just basically saw him off. Granted he got Wes to an unlucky shot and Welch was dropped, which may prove critical, but he didn't bowl at the stumps, didn't see a googly and it was a bit lame in my view.
Had they been needing 6 an over it might have been a good tactic, but the fact is they just didn't bother with him.
Very deceiving stats.

Chamu has been ridiculously slow. He has had the time to do it, thanks to TK's and Maru's great start, but he should be 20 runs more than he is.
In the unlikely event Eagles lose this he'll have egg on his face.

Must be paid on an hourly rate not daily rate old chamu. Very circumspect innings.

Madhevere is just dire at the moment. Not a power hitter and not a nurdler.

Myers is the smart batter whhe comes back and if Kamwembwa Taruvinga and Campbell macmillan ronak Patel have good tournaments in the world cup it might be the kick up the Jacksie that he needs.

Every time we are about to see NW play some shots he gets out and he was about to because the run rate is creeping up. Unlucky dismissal, he played reasonably well.

Another wicket now and this game will suddenly get tight.

Prince is a deceptively good bowler.
