That leaves Afghanistan.

It's a good thing overall to protect the whole organisation in case the men's game declines again. A quiet way of hedging their bets.

Yes

They should be looking to target a few of those series, there’s some seriously poor women’s teams around.

Would be sound if that tri series in Ireland next July involves Scotland too.

I wonder why Anesu Mushangwe hardly comes to play for Zim anymore. She seems to be doing very well for her self.

I think she plays in Aus as a local player?

Doing very well for herself in the Big Bash. Think the last time she played for us was that tri series with Namibia and Uganda like three years ago or whatever.

Could imagine the women’s side is as cliquey as the men’s side, probably more so  you know what women are like, especially women sports teams. There’ll be several relationships within the squad and a definite pecking order  good luck to them.

Den of iniquity that changing room, presided over by queen bee Mary Ann Musondawg and her loyal deputy (ies?).

Will be like the South African one; Dane van Niekirk and Marizanne Kapp trying to turn Laura Wolvaardt to the dark side

First time watching the ladies. Biza looked very comfortable and Tiripano played some really nice shots before getting out. Not the worst showing for this total mismatch but hopefully they don't regress as the series goes on.

It was a good performance overall. Not getting bowled out and batting the full 20 overs was an achievement.

Her story is evident of ZC.

She was talented, but ZC never really supported the womens game. The facilities and structures are not up to par and the coaching was very sub standard. She sought opportunity elsewhere and got a chance in the UK. She also wrote to teams in Australia hoping to get a chance to play club crickets and a club in Adelaide gave her a chance. They saw her talent, and then offered her payment, training and a chance to develop her skills. In Zim, she had stepped away from cricket because it offered none of that, and she needed money, so she was focussing on her studies and work.

Eventually got a contract with South Australia and then in the BBL. Now plays for ACT Comets in the domestic league and has her Australian citizenship.
