Stumps called at Takashinga already.

Surely to god they need to move future rounds to other grounds

I have the same question- why isn't it being played in Mutare or KweKwe so nice they named it twice?

Kwekwe (the ground, not the town! ) is still one of the best grounds in the country. Very under-utilised . Better pitch and outfield than both Taka or OH and even the clubhouse is pretty tidy still.

I think its time to dust of matty welch old under 19's visa and get him on a plane to sri lanka. At the very least he has played more domestic games than wes before his debut and seems very very good.

Beautiful ground and club house. Some history there.

Considering it is going to be an utterly brutal tour on the pitch, and off the pitch as we can gather the environment is currently toxic, I'd say I definitely don't want the likes of Bennett or M Welch involved in this tour. Could do them more harm than good. Not a nice environment to introduce them to atm.

Hopefully things settle down, new coach etc, some positive changes, by the time the next international fixtures come along and then they'd have a shout.

Positive changes? I can't think of any they'd be prepared to implement. That kangaroo commission is a cop out. There's a blame game coming that won't implicate anyone blameworthy.

They need to stick to the processes. If they won't pick him for franchise and then try and jump him into a national side someone needs to answer. He's had 6 good innings from 7 starts which is highly unusual and he's a good player. But he's young and you dont want to damage him by chucking him in the deep end. What they should be doing is asking hard questions of coaches, selectors and the genius talent scouts as to why he keeps not being picked for franchise. If the answers are unsatisfactory then let's replace those guys because they either have an agenda or they're useless or both, either one is not good:lol: what does our cricket have to gain by having these folk around, and they're being paid a shit ton of money to do less than nothing. It's not like they had to find him in Gokwe
A kid of his ability in another set up would be well into a career by now and they'd have looked after his back injury.
If he was from High Density he'd have 50 caps and probably failing miserably. The desperation to find a young Brian Lara is actually pitiful.

They pick Bennett for T20 and he's not currently a T20 player  and leave him out of the 50 over stuff which he's stronger at. That's just plain stupidity. They think Bennett is a better bat, but he bats at 5 and MW opens. Openers are a completely separate category, it's the toughest gig in sport.
If both these boys were managed well they may have a future. Let's get them into our specialised academy

When MW scored that really good 50 against Afghanistan u19 anybody who knows cricket would say, hold on, back up, this guy is really sharp. Instead he had a low score next game, and they dropped him? In fact he should have opened in the previous u19, aged 15, but money was gratefully received to pick a dead beat. These are the questions that need hard answers. What was paid and to whom? Where's that kid now?
Then wins the T20 final for Eagles about 3 years ago aged 17 and doesn't get picked again. Then his first FC game is as a sub, yet they open with him?? If you think he's shit hide him at 8 surely  These are the questions that need answers. The answers are clear and it's why our cricket is all but dead.
He'll have a shit run and probably get dropped again.

Well I want to say at least it can't get any worse  But then you never know with ZC
