That's Carrickfergus' second Zimbabwean - Ryan Ervine was there as player/coach last season.

I really should go and see him play sometime - they're only about 45mins drive from me...

Really a good sign!

Gavin Ewing is a very talented player as his records suggest. He will be a big prospect for Carrickfergus CC.

Hope for his best...

As an offspinner I don't think he would be selected ahead of Price or Utseya, and as an allrounder I don't think he would get selected ahead of Cremer. He would be useful to have playing in the domestic circuit though.

Zimbabwe now has a lot of quality spinners in the bank likes of Price,
Cremer,Utseya,Mugochi,Maruma,Kamangozi.Ewing isnt a genuine spinner, mainly a batsman.Yes,he will be a productive prospect in domestic cricket with an average of 37 in FC cricket and also with his coaching skills. But didnt make anything notable in the international arena. It will be very hard for him to manage a slot for him in the national side if he returns to Zim.It can be said that he has lost his place by leaving Zim and the loss is filled by now.
