Let’s hope we bowl like we did the last, they will probably bring in welly and swap klong out this game.

I hope they give Mufudza another go, he wasn’t at his best the other day but still think he deserves another go.
Coaches will be worried about the long tail though and will probably revert to Welly because he can hold a bat.

And that’s a fair point.
Modern cricket doesn’t afford gentle off spin bowlers who can’t bat (and from what I’ve read, field) anymore.
To be a one trick pony off spinner you have to be king of the craft.
Williams is on par with Mufudza. Maybe even more valuable due to left arm variation.

How often have you seen Mufudza bowl? Categorically he is a better bowler than Williams. It really is no contest.ZIMDOGGY wrote: ↑Thu Jan 11, 2024 8:38 amAnd that’s a fair point.

Kaitano in for K-long. Wellington in for Mufudza and Jongwe in for Faraz.
If they had done this in the last game, that tail which can bat could have won the game. These days lower order runs are crucial unless your top 6/7 are as good as India's or Australia's.

I’ll jinx him now but I have so much time for Overlord
Re: Zimbabwe vs Sri Lanka | 3rd ODI | 11th Jan 2024
I hope the rain break doesn’t kill the momentum. Gumbie was looking good out there. Definitely a different pitch but if these guys bat maybe another 10 overs we will have a chance
Re: Zimbabwe vs Sri Lanka | 3rd ODI | 11th Jan 2024
From what we've seen it definitely swings a lot more under lights and batting first is the way to go in Colombo. The rain forecast for today is a lot lesser than the earlier two game days so I'm hoping it stops soon.
