Still don't understand why Wellington is so highly rated. Completely over rated spinner
Careful, some people will defend him and his bowling to death.

sidenote- good to have you back, you worried me for a second that my prediction on your comeback was wrong.
He took 1/21 with an economy of 5? I don`t understand what`s wrong

Googly said to be the specialist spinner, he needs to be way better than the all rounders we have currently. Willo, Raza, Burl, Wes.
It’s my opinion that Wellington is more or less on par with Willo and Raza, without the batting skill.

Wellington is a massively better bowler than Williams. It’s not even close

Nope.
He averages over 50 against every test nation except Afghanistan.
And besides look at the naked eye, what does he do that makes him so much better?
Is he way more accurate?
Does he turn it more?

When you factor in Sean is a SLA and therefore a point of difference then he’s not far behind Wellington if at all. All the while considering Sean is picked for batting.

And I not once this time you just said willo, you used to say Raza too but Raza making it too hard to make that argument recently.

Raza’s bowling has improved yes. When he changed to copy Narine’s action at first he struggled but he’s got it right now.

My point stands - Wellington is a far better bowler than Williams. I find it perplexing that you think otherwise

Wellington will give you his full 10 over quota every time and 99 times out of 100 it won’t be bad.

You really can’t put a price on reliability.

Williams will rarely bowl his full quota and the likelihood of him having an off-day with his bowling is significantly higher than Wellington’s imo.

I agree with SZ Welly is a great player for the t20 format, always economical and put his graft in. Plus he can bat a little bit (despite not showing it on the nat scene).

I don’t get the Williams comparison? Williams is a bat and part time bowler, should probably bowl 1/2 overs tops in a t20. He has done a half decent job and can be economical but even he will admit he is not a bowler.

Raza is bowling and batting out of his skin at the minute, the perfect allrounder, so he will always get his quota.

All that being said, I’d still prefer to see Mavuta as the frontline spinner, he is a wicket taker which puts more pressure on batsmen than economy. Obviously Mavuta isn’t available though.

I dont think we should mix up formats. You may have a point in odi but in t20 he`s been very servicable. Maybe not the best wicket taker but always very economical

When is the Bangladesh tour supposed to happen again? Just realised that Raza probably won’t be available because of the IPL. In fact he is going to be away for almost 6 months straight if he also gets picked by Northamptonshire. Burl and Ngarava will be gone for the BPL and will probably only come back in March.

To be honest I don’t see Raza playing test cricket besides the England test. I also don’t think Burl gets into our strongest test team if we are being honest. It’s Ngarava who they have to decide if they want to manage his workload. There is a good chance of him getting picked for more leagues as well so it might actually not be ideal for him to play test cricket

5 T20Is in Bangladesh in May are definitely happening.

BCB are trying to 'move' the Tests to 'the end of 2024' (in all likelihood they will be cancelled eventually, let's be honest).
