Maybe he will be a patriot and play for the love of his country with his hair painted with the flag colours and all. Sadly man can not live on pride alone.ZIMDOGGY wrote:has to be april fools.

So it's not an April Fools joke?zimlover wrote:There has been recent positive developemnts in the Blingnaut issue, i am just going through the information now, will disclose as soon i get the green light
He's pushing 35 now, so his shelf life as a fast bowler would be pretty limited. He was hitting low to mid 130's a few years ago; you'd think he'd have lost some pace since then. If he could re-invent himself as a specialist batsman (and demonstrate it) then I could see him forcing his way in at the expense of a Waller or a Williams, because the few overs he would provide would probably be pretty useful, but as a specialist bowler - while admittedly he would strengthen a weak tail - I wouldn't pick him. I think it's far more important to get game time into the likes of Jarvis, Vitori, Chatara.
Anyway, I think Zimbabwe's bowling attack - while not world class - is okay and not a huge cause for concern at the moment. Between Jarvis, Chatara, Mpofu, Cremer and Price - throw in Vitori and a few other guys pressing their cases at domestic level - we've got enough to work with. If Blignaut slotting in at number six could average 30 (he's a 90's player, so you hope he'd bring some of that old school toughness that otherwise only Price has right now) and be the difference between a Zimbabwe Collapse or a modest but respectable 250 all out then I'd pick him
