He might have only hit one ODI 50 ( and a good one it was) But charles coventry as a ODI player at least had all the hallmarks of becoming a great player. A strike rate of 94 meant that if he batted for a significant amount of time the teams total would soon rise.
Talent like his is too good to jettison

Yeah, I would like to see him back in the team. He played for Westerns in the Logan Cup last season, but strangely he didn't play in the Faithwear one-day series - which you'd think is where someone like Coventry would shine.

I will be watching with interest to see if he plays domestically this year - although I haven't seen any records of him playing at club level.

Is there any realistic chance of him actually playing for Zim again?? Is is going to appear in the upcoming domestic matches? If he does, I'm sure he'll tear it up and demand selection...

I'll never say never, but it will be a tough ask.

As for him playing for Zimbabwe again, I (my opinion) think it is unlikely. Even more so if he doesn't play in the Logan Cup.

Charles coventry is on the facebook social networking site. That would be a good place to start to initiate an interview, that is if he wanted to talk
