ZIMBABWE Cricket will be on the agenda of the International Cricket Council (ICC) board meeting starting today in Dubai.
The board will hear a report from West Indies Cricket Board chairman Julian Hunte, who led a fact-finding mission to Zimbabwe last November.
The task team was set up by the ICC Board in July 2008 to ascertain the state of cricket in the country and to make recommendations to the Board on how best to assist Zimbabwe to improve its cricket before its return to the Test arena.
In addition to Hunte, the task team also included former Sri Lanka Cricket chairman Arjuna Ranatunga and ICC chief executive Haroon Lorgat. Its report was compiled following the visit.
Sources say the report is likely to say there are considerable improvements in Zimbabwe especially in terms of playing numbers. — Staff Writer.
