The player profiles are pretty interesting to read as well. A lot of it is taken from Cricinfo, but there are bits and pieces that are new (to me anyway) like Cremer (Zimbabwe A selection to stop him going to the UK) and Dabengwa (coached U16's).

It seems that ZC have a program in place to give all of their players coaching qualifications. Taylor, Cremer, Coventry all hold level 1 certificates, Dabengwa holds a level 2 and apparently coached an U16 tour to South Africa.

I see BRM Taylor will be based in Maidstone again this season. It will be intersting to see if one of the Kent Premier League sides will offer him a playing contract this coming summer.

I don't know why one of the counties isn't looking at him, to be truthful. Proven match winner at international level, good ODI stats (which don't reflect his ability, if he was playing for any other side I reckon his batting average would be at least in the mid 30's) which will only get better over time, and a proven wicket keeper at international level. His domestic First Class record (1404 at an average of 46.80) is very good - his overall First Class average has suffered a bit (30.96) from being thrown to the wolves too early (ie. playing Test matches as a teenager and playing other First Class matches for Zimbabwe against strong opposition) but is still "not bad".

Ah well Writing this out makes me wish he would return to the Zimbabwe team.
