Bangladesh 20/20s

Post by Donald »

OK OK it doesn't start until May 😅😅😅

Nothing wrong with advance planning and a discussion though is there.

So who do we think should make the side. Extra importance now as some wins could seal deal for automatic 2026 world cup.

Do we finally give jono Campbell a go?

So we include any additional players from african Cup? Maybe Musikewa can be picked as a squad player for a ' Learning tour'.

Anyone has any thoughts please inude them here. Cricket related obviously 😆😆

Marumani is o. Fire until he gets a reality check
Madande will keep wicket and people will debate if Gumbie would have done better job after the series
Swan W will throw his wicket nonchalant often
Quota system would be addressed if
Bennet, Campbell,Nick Welch are added to group with already
Burl, Ervine,Sean Williams, Evans and raza

Ervine sometimes does something infuriatingly good in limited overs like his 70 against sri lanka that won the game.

It is too few and far between though.

Got a feeling we might see something like this as the main lineup

Bennet
K-Long
Ervine
Williams
Raza
Burl
Madande
Jongwe
Wellington
Ngarava
Blessing

What I’m not sure about is the bench. Marumani is the reserve keeper in this format so he will probably go. Evans should be fit and will probably go as well. If they taking 15 then I think they will pick 2 guys from Campbell, Kaia, Nyauchi, Musekiwa or Muzondo.

Completely agree. Not a T20 player but he is good enough with the bat to produce some match winning knocks. His innings went under the radar that game but if he had lost his wicket early we would have never had a chance

Wes and Mavuta’s bans should be over by then but it would be a bit scandalous for them to go straight into the squad. They need to work for it. Especially Wes. No more golden boy treatment

Can't wait for the selectors to play a batsman short against Bangladesh

Kaia is apparently moving on from Zim cricket- unlikely to be selected.

Not true. He has been away but is back and available as far as I hear.
