Zimbabwe 'A'/U25 Tour of England 2024

Post by secretzimbo »

Unclear what the official name of this squad is - A or U25. Not sure of the squad yet. Or coaches. Is Mangongo involved in this? I heard Dave Houghton was the tour manager or something.

Here are known fixtures so far, but there are apparently more;

July 16th: OD Match Vs Kent 2ndXI, Beckenham
July 18th: OD Match Vs Lancashire 2ndXI, Liverpool
July 30th: OD Match Vs Worcestershire 2ndXI, Kidderminster
August 1st: OD Match Vs Jersey, New Farnley
August 2nd: OD Match Vs Jersey, New Farnley
August 20th-22nd: 3-Day Match Vs Notts 2ndXI, Nottinghamshire Sports Club
September 3rd-6th: 3-Day Match Vs Middlesex 2ndXI, Merchant Taylor’s

If anyone finds more fixtures or updates/changes to the above please let us know and I will update the list.

Hopefully be a bit of YouTube action.

Ya there must be more, 3 weeks between the Jersey game and the Notts game seems a long time to be doing nothing.

A list is floating around. Not sure if it is true.

Includes Wes, Bennett, Evans, Shumba, Myers, Tsiga, Maphosa, Rodney, Chirwa, Muzondo, Marumani and Mavuta.

What are the odds this match happens tomorrow? The lack of info is alarming, even by Zim standards!

It will happen, there’ll be a rain break second innings and DLS will come into play.

Kent fans who spoke to the club last week have been told the match is going ahead.

Thank you for putting the call out on twitter zimfan1! Good info - I have a pal who is London based who might go and watch, now that we have confirmation it is happening.

What I really find funny is the randoms on social media who aren't members here, and are quick to disparage ZCF as a terrible racist awful useless forum, but lift info from here and pass it off as their own and take the credit - like they have with the fixture list here haha.

ZCF ftw.

I even see Kent have it on their site as going ahead.

Unsure if they will do a live score
