Franchise Round 3 - Logan Cup & Pro 50 (23rd-28th November)

If the issue was Knackers having to do 3 years then Awkward faces the same problem.Marshmallow wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 10:53 amWhat's the situation with Awad Naqvi now? Even though he is the brother of ZC's favorite player, he isn't adding any value to the ZC setup! (Is Awad Naqvi and Antum Naqvi still considered overseas players?)

This shows there’s absolutely no independence for the franchises. It’s been the case, largely, for many years. Bulawayo generally do their own thing but the other four franchises are fully controlled by ZC.
It seems like there was an air of independence this year but clearly ZC have hated it and put a quick end to it.

Mmm....I think it was just Steve and the 5 whites.
Anything else he may or may not have done has been done multiple times before with no censure.
I mean they let Singo run a knock shop at Queens ffs
He only started pulling the piss when he started forging the boss's signature
Clearly there are some boundaries

My question is, how did they allow Awad Naqvi to play for Rhinos now? From the draft mawoza posted, it's clearly mentioned that an overseas pro should be highly experienced.Googly wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 11:07 amIf the issue was Knackers having to do 3 years then Awkward faces the same problem.Marshmallow wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 10:53 amWhat's the situation with Awad Naqvi now? Tuskers have always been able to do what they want to an extent. More so than the other franchisesGoogly wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 11:16 amMmm....I think it was just Steve and the 5 whites.

Well maybe he's locally registered? If Antum is about to qualify next year it's logical that Awkward will just follow suit.

You would assume that he also sees his future in Zim, if his brother does?Marshmallow wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 11:17 amMy question is, how did they allow Awad Naqvi to play for Rhinos now? This. I just tweeted pretty much this same narrative.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 9:20 amIt's a reminder that division and opposition doesn't work here.
There has been opposition to Mutendera, ZC, and racist selection. So ZC have just doubled down. It's what they do. It's what happens in this country.
They've closed ranks. Gave Mutendera even more power. Flexed their muscles. Sidelined Mangongo, who was clearly too vocal and independent. And fired a warning to anyone else who rocks the boat. And shown complete and utter disdain for the fans.
We should have expected it. Sort of did, tbf.
Its staggering how deep they are digging their heels in. I feel for Justin, he has signed a performance based contract that is essentially career suicide.
You do wonder if Grant knew and didnt sign for other reasons not disclosed.
