They're so weird
Imagine how much cricket is going on in the sub-continent and yet they follow our cricket quite closely. I wonder if they're all over other member nation forums and chat groups as well?
It has to be a betting thing surely? Maybe a portion of them will focus on Zim because that's where they bet?

The easiest market to influence.
Wire a few bond notes to some hard up player or umpire then sit back while the rupees on winviz roll in

I see Larry has defended today’s poor performance because we are, I quote, ‘in transition building for the 2027 world cup’.
Most of the team is actually now very experienced. And transition?!?! Fuck me. 25 years of ‘transition’. Are we transition into a new transition period? Or transitioning out of the last transition period? Are was transitioning into a team in permanent transition?

I saw Frank’s assertion that ZCF should be renamed RCF and is full of racist old rhodesians who post racist white supremacist stuff non stop. Hilarious.
The ZC lot still read this forum every day, they can’t help themselves. As I say - rent free
Whites in all commonwealth countries, as well as Indians posting out of the sub continent, and locals, white and black, all generally arrive at the same conclusion about ZC here.
All telepathic racists across multiple demographs I guess.

Re: Zimbabwe vs Pakistan 2nd ODI November 26th 2024
Our internationals are so few and far between (or that's what it feels like) that experience doesn't count for much if your last ODI was nearly a year ago.
Ya the rebuilding story after 25 years is exhausting. I can see they're more or less going to stick with these squads, and even within the squads they're going to chop and change enough to make those affected too shit scared to play with any clarity.
I even saw that Larry implied that Wes went downhill under Houghton. Maybe he did, I dunno? I recall Raza winning most of the games for us singlehandedly. Our best winning spell ever so it has to count for something, even if it was by one person's purple patch.
The one person under the pump has to be Mutendira. Does he ever have to write a report on his selections? He must be pretty convincing because he's been a selector for a very long time with damaging results. Maybe they all think it doesn't really matter who they pick, we'll still get dicked? They're probably right in that regard.
We've got an expert in the house- Houghton, whom we know as a fact could only make recommendations during his tenure. ZC should clarify David's role and his credentials and the results he's had. The Zimbabwe cricketing public almost universally want to see him out of this role. I know that counts for nothing, but it should.
I like how Mawoza says the runs over the last few days in Franchise don't count for much because the standard is so shit. Is that an admission of years of poor administration? It surely has to be of a higher standard than the NPL?
So now nobody can put their hand up because the franchise standard is shit and the NPL is shit? Where do you make your runs or take your wickets now to get noticed?
Even runs or wickets in regionals doesn't seem to count for much?
So if you ever get picked for an A side at some point in the distant future and don't do particularly well and the national guys keep underperforming does the status quo remain because they're doing badly at a higher level???
Does Dion's high score of 30 keep him safe? Does Brian's 14 off 26? I'm not suggesting a swap, give them plenty of rope, they're good.
Run outs only count against you if you're Campbell?
They're desperately trying to get some parameters in place that suit their selections. It's so lame. Someone with real knowledge has to start picking with a bit of instinct.
If its these guys currently then no problem, stick by your guns and give them multiple games, most have had multiple games though, but give them 20 more, but then give someone else 50 games and 2 years, just like AC had and Madhevere has had. That's Mawoza's argument that if it was good for whites then it must hold for blacks 30 years later. He omits to say that its only for select black guys. The list of prejudiced black guys these last 20 years is also long. Are they collateral damage? Jeez what an axe he has to grind. For some guys the 2 years is nearly up. Give Wes another nailbiting series. I'm not gunning the guy, his head has gone and he's got a whole career ahead of him, let him reinvent himself in his own time, he's unbelievably talented and I pray he finds a way.
This chopping changing damages everyone, but they've got no bottle and panic, we've seen it for years. Stick with your selections until it's clear it's doomed. You may be pleasantly surprised,a couple of guys will find a way. Maru is close. Averages 16 at 65% according to the TV, which just proves stats really mean jack shit to them if it doesn't suit.
I've got no problems with his stats, we know he can play. Give him another dozen games without bothering him and help him in every way possible, but if he continues to flatter to deceive let's give someone else an extended go to find their feet.

You all know who I am from X.
This forum is a Blessing (mind the pun) for hardcore Zim cricket fans.
Some of us have been here since 2007 posting about cricket.
Frank and his merry men hate being called out.
No one cares if 11 rainbow players play, simply pick players on merit. If we lose no problems, but housing passengers like Akram and Wes is why we are going no where.
Its so stupid and you have to laugh.
I am also not Alistair Campbell, so we've put that to bed!

I still don't think Wez should be classed as a passenger. Like Googly said, he is immensely talented and just needs time away from the international spotlight.
Frank Mawoza is the epitome of what is wrong with Zimbabwean Cricket. A man (if we can call him that) with very little cricketing knowledge in a position of leadership who has a chip on his shoulder.
Keep nibbling Frank, you're wonderful entertainment. Laughing stock

Totally agree about Wez. He’s got the potential. ZC have done him over big time constantly picking him when some time away would be more beneficial to him.
It’s never about the race, it’s about the performance plenty of black players get their rightly deserved compliments on here.

Re: Zimbabwe vs Pakistan 2nd ODI November 26th 2024
Their desperation for a gun black batter has set Wez back. Now Myers is in the mix they might be less desperate with Wez. Got guys like Tony monyonga who can step up. All is not lost for the suits and their crazy agendas if only they took a step back to appreciate
