Hey guys am new to the forum was just wondering what kind of coverage there will be of the Bangladesh series, i.e will there be live TV coverage or ball by ball on cricinfo
As a Zimbabwe fan aboard its hard to get to see the games live these days
It's a bit concerning that just over a week out and there is still no confirmation of broadcast. At least we will know tomorrow though, if Ten Sports are televising it then it will appear in their month long TV schedule (on their website) from August 1.
Ten Sports had to confirm the telecast. They have this ad going these days, where they say "5 out of 10" to showcase that they have subcontinent telecast rights for 5 of the 10 full members of ICC, including Zimbabwe.
Assuming Ten Sports does telecast it (barring last minute issues), from the quality of commentary perspective, there are serious concerns. Pommie is possibly in RSA, Al and Dirk have come back into ZC fold, and probably can't / shouldn't do both together, Pycroft is an ICC match referee. So if we excliude these, we might have:
Mluleki Nkala
Darlington Matambanadzo
Dean Du Plessis (hopefully)
Athar Ali Khan from Bangladesh and
(may be) Kevin Curran?
This won't be the best cricket watching experience for sure...
