Zimbabwe Domestic Cricket 2009-10

Post by Makhaya00 »

Only one more week and a bit until the 2009-10 Zimbabwe Domestic Season begins. :)

Who will you be supporting out of the 5 new franchise teams? I will be supporting the Midwest Rhinos who will be captained by Edward Rainsford. There are still no news of the final squads of each team..

My support will be surely there for Matabeleland Tuskers. For others can't say till seeing the final squads. I'm really looking forward to having a look at the squads. We may find some of the names of the former rebels as we were hinted. For this purpose I'm very interested.

Mash Eagles is the one.... I will be behind the Eagles. I hope more information on the teams will be available after the Bangalabash tour. I really hope the Brand New Season will leav up to expectation and provide a much need broader player base for the national team. The selectors will have their work cut out for them.

Ill be behind the Midwest Rhinos as well with Malcolm Waller in the batting line up who i know will score big if he bats up the order (as long as he is not shoved down at 7 like he was for the national side  )

The Tuskers will be getting my enthusiasm. The Logan Cup will go up to Feb, that's a lot of cricket!
And I'm not complaining :D :D

Despite having enough ties to Marondera and Bulawayo to get away with supporting Mountaineers or Tuskers, I'm a Harare boy at heart, so it'll have to be the Eagles.

That's provisional until the squads are announced, mind you..! :)

Going to wait until the squads are announced. Really looking forward to this though.. is there a provisional schedule or something anywhere? I'd be really interested in finding out how many games there will be.
