Hey guys good news Terry Duffin is returning to Zimbabwe on the 31st of August to play for a franchise. It will be good to have an experienced cricketer back in the fold and he will be a good addition to the A side in the ICC Trophy as he is a very good 4 day player and you never know he may push the openers in the ODI side. He is just the kind of cricketer we need in our first class system
Also Gavin Ewing has been approached by a franchise but as far as i know he is still yet to decide weather to come back.
I am very pleased to hear that Terry Duffin is returning. He wasn't such a bad national team captain and I fondly remember his half century on test debut for Zimbabwe.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes
Good news. Terrence Duffin is a good player. I can also remember his half century in his test debut vs India, infact it was a good knock. He also played an innings of 88 vs SOU in a d/n ODI match. Yes, he can be a valuable opening batsman for the 'A' side especially in the longer format. He can certainly push for the national side in the tests also. His technique is very sound. Was in a great form as a skipper batsman for Winsley CC in England after quiting Zimbabwe.
thats great news lets hope more of them are going to come that will make our league stronger and competition for selection much stiffer.
12.4 Odhiambo to Vermeulen, FOUR, that's an appalling long hop, Vermulen had plenty of time to get into position, drink a cup of tea, and pull the ball towards the long leg boundary- his first boundary today
I must say, though, that I'm more excited about the prospect of Ewing. With the proper leadership and structure I really think he could have gone on to become a world class player. Does anyone know where he's actually playing? I'm genuinely surprised he hasn't popped up in a First Class squad somewhere else.
