The 4th One dayer was the best one so far played in this series and one of the best that Bangladesh chased and won.
When Zimbabwe scored 312 courtesy a monumental masterpiece from Coventry no one in the wildest dream thought Bangladesh would be able to overcome that.
But Tamim had other things in mind. This time around he decided he would take the challenge singlehanded.
In a masterful display of control and aggression he probably played the innings of his life . His innings before 100 was one of caution and mixed aggression. Once he passed 100 he went berserk and mauled all Zimbabwean bowlers badly.
The sufferers being Waller against whom he took 17 runs and Mazakadza who went for 18. Those two were like knockout punches from which Zimbabwe never recovered.
Price was also not spared by Tamim . In one of his over he was smashed for a six.
Zimbabwe pacers unlike the previous one dayer were ineffective .They were played with ease and aggression and at no time it appeared they have been able to trouble the Bangladesh batsmen.
Both Mupariwa ( none for 63 ) & Chigumbura( none for 63) went for aplenty.
Though Utseta was the most economical wity 1 fr 46 in 10 overs it was Price was the most impressive with 3 for 60 from 10 overs.
One of the hallmark of Tamim’s innings was the fact that he ensured that Run Rate does not drop below 6. If their were a few overs where it went down he immediately made amends by scaling up the Run Rate
Raqib played a good supporting role and rotated the batting and gave him as much of batting as possible .
Earlier Junaid and Tamim built a solid first wicket partnership of 68 in which Junaed played the role of a more aggressive partner . As soon as he was out Tamim took charge.
Ash in his short spell looked very scratchy as ever and it was only a matter of time one expected he was to be out and the inevitable did happen sooner than expected.
Tamim stayed till 44.3 overs scoring 154 priceless runs. Going for ambitious shot he perished.
But by this time Bangladesh was well on their way to a historic win.
Mahmuddulah ensured their was no further damage and scored the winning run when he hit a straight boundary with 13 balls to spare.
As far as Zimbabwe Batting is concerned Coventry played a Masterpiece. He had litlle support from other batsman.
But the manner in which he equaled the World record will long be remembered.
To sum up : Though Bangladesh emerged as a winner in a very close encounter I would say Honors were Shared.Coventry and Tamim’s innings are one day Classics that will long be remembered in the minds of fans.
Congratulations to both teams for playing wonderful and entertaining cricket!

Re: Bangladesh Edge Out Zimbabwe in a Classic Encounter
Yes, that's right Coventry had no support from the other end. If a batsman score 194 like that the score should have been in the 350-370 mark but that didn't happen in the case of Zimbabwe. Zimbabwean bowlers were outplayed only exception was Price who took 3/60. Bangladesh batsmen eapecially Tamim sticked to a plan and achieved victory for Bangladesh.
