The England v Zimbabwe series is my favourite Zimbabwean cricket moment. Drawing the test series, (including a tied test!) and winning the ODI series 3-0. That, along with the 1999 World cup must have been the highpoint of Zimbabwean cricket.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

Don't forget David Lloyd (England coach at the time) going on to claim "We murdered them!!" after the tied Test. Really? Don't think so..! :D

Good Wisden article on that tour: http://www.cricinfo.com/wcm/content/cur ... 35697.html

David Lloyd certainly did go a bit mad after the match finished (not much has changed since!!)

It was a terrifically exciting last day to the Harare test and higlighted why test match cricket can be far more thrilling than any 50 over or 20/20 can be. :D

From memory I think England on that tour also lost their warm up match to Mashonaland being bowled out by a young James Kirtley.

But he was the one who was commentating during Zim's memorable 20/20 WC win over Australia in 2007. He was madly euphoric and fully in support of Zim (obviously, since the opposition was Aus ;)) as Brendan Taylor won the match in the last over. So, we can forgive his ignorant remarks of 1997 :)
