Moutaineers win, but Nick Welch flops again. He's doing his best to give Zolsky and co ammo.

Apart from one decent patch last franchise season Nick Welch has averaged around 20 in 3/4 seasons in both OD and FC cricket.
Lots of excuses are being made for him but the idea that he would score regular runs in international cricket is laughable. He has never done this in the UK or in a very weak first class comp in Zimbabwe.
He clearly has ability but I have seen nothing to suggest that he could have half the career that Williams, Taylor, Raza or even Ervine have had.

I think if he bats in the top order in t20i, he can come good for Zim
Other than that, he is ok in tests atm..

Two pretty ropey 50 over games to complete this round. Thrashings for the Rhinos and the dismal Tuskers.
Jalat Khan is extremely impressive for the Rocks. Playing every game in all formats, and consistently taking wickets. Swinging the new ball at pace with the new ball, and then going short and full from left arm round with the old ball. Aggressive attitude with bad in hand as well.
Has given the Rocks a real cutting edge, and has really raised the challenge level for domestic batters.
Remains slightly concerning that he has never been deemed worthy of playing a single senior match in Pakistan though.

Is Khan trying to qualify for Zimbabwe? He will be four years in December next year that he made his first class debut

He’s only been in the country for about 4 months so he’s got a long way to go if he is
Absolutely no chance

Yeah, he played the 2023/24 season for the Rocks, but didn't play 24/25. So his residency would have reset until the beginning of this stint, in all likelihood. He is only young though.

Wait til he lines up for Alex in the NPL before it looks like a possibility.
