The 4 semi finalist are :

1. Delhi Daredevils
2. Chennai Super Kings
3. Bangalore Royal Challengers
4. Hydrebad Deccan Chargers

Things to note for:

* The last year 7th and 8th team RCB and DC are now standing in the 3rd and 4th place respectively this year. Vast improvement !

* Defending champion Rajasthan Royals ended up the league stage at 6th (Points 13) and they are out of the semi's.

* Last year semi finalist Kings XI Punjab is 5th in the table (Points 14) and they are out of the semi's too for net run rate , DC has got better net run rate than Kings XI with same points.

Result of semi final 1 is Hydrebad Deccan Chargers beat Delhi Daredevils by 6 wickets (http://content.cricinfo.com/ipl2009/eng ... 92237.html). It was Gilchirst's day. 85 runs of 35 balls with 10 boundaries and 5 sixes. Nothing can stop him and DC is through to the final. I think, Adam Gilchirst has many cricket left on him. A good news is that the cricket world will be able to watch Shane Warne in the next IPL too. Cut the off field controversy but in field Shane Warne is a character to watch out for, LEGEND. Mathew Hayden will be round probably, I'm not sure but Glenn McGrath may not return.

I am thrilled to notice the captaincy of Adam Gilchirst, the way he lead the team. It's surprising that he hasn't got the full captaincy span for Australia, always remained the vice-captain of the team. But truly he is a fantastic captain.

DC will play in the final against the winner of today's semi-final. Today CSK and RCB will be head to head. I'm supporting RCB and want them to win the DLF IPL 2009 too.

CSK will come up with the same 4 foreign players (Hayden, A Morkel, Oram, Muraili) today, no doubt. RCB will also like to stick with the same 4 foreign players (Kallis, Boucher, R Taylor, Van der Merwe). If Kallis is injured for the last match, I guess the replacement will be Dillon Du Preez. Jesse Ryder, a possibility but I think he is injured.
