Easy win for Bangladesh, as I said earlier these are 30 WSL points on the plate for Bangla boys.

We've got a cupcake schedule for the WCSL. Home series vs WI, ENG, and AFG I think. I think the Afghans have the best shot of taking points from us

The Windies could be in trouble, because they won't beat too many teams, and the WC Qualifiers are going to be just as cutthroat and brutal as they were last time.

Yes I agree, WI will find it tough to qualify for the WC, Bangladesh should go through directly, they are a much better team than what many people think. Afghanistan, West Indies, Zimbabwe, Ireland, Netherlands will be the ones finishing outside of top 8. Sri Lanka may just squeeze in at 8th.Kriterion_BD wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 5:03 pmWe've got a cupcake schedule for the WCSL. Home series vs WI, ENG, and AFG I think. In the qualifiers, you never know, but I fear Zimbabwe might fail to qualify again, I hate to say this but that is how it looks, not many youngsters coming through for Zim, it's looks a sorry state.
To add to it they play very rarely these days, may only get those WSL games and won't be ready for it.

Its vitally important for ZIM to bring youngsters into the mix like Madhevere and Shumba (I think Shumba debuted in that Pakistan series). They may need a couple more especially if Jarvis is gone. Good thing is at least Blessing is back.

Facile series win with all 30 points for the Tigers. The lack of starpower on the Windies side made for boring watching. I think only 2-3 guys (Powell, Mayers, Joseph, Hosein) actually belong at international level...so this was very much a B side. Going forward, Windies really need to figure out how to get their best players on the park instead of just playing T20leagues all over. Fortunately, they've managed to assemble a mostly full strength Test lineup over the past few years, with this series being the exception.
Looking forward to the Tests, I really hope the Windies can force us to bat twice otherwise these games will be over inside 3 days and thats not very fun viewing.
For Bangladesh, the next series will be a much stiffer challenge in NZ - where the objective should be to try and steal 10 points in the ODIs. BD came close a few years ago, but batting collapses cost them. With a reasonable seam attack (Shoriful must get at least 1 game in NZ if not more) - we might have a bit more of a chance to avoid a whitewash. Either way, cricket in NZ is always fun to watch.

The white wicket-keeper for the Windies is interesting - Joshua Da Silva. First Caribbean-born white player to play tests cricket for the West Indies in almost 50 years.

I will be shocked to see Bangladesh win anything in New Zealand.
