I have always wanted a world XI, but not the conventional one where you have 4 Indians and 5 Aussies and make the other spots up with Murali and whoever else you can find. I reckon it should be 1 player from each of the test playing nations Zimbabwe, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, West Indies, England, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. and then one more player from the top ranked side at the time. I makes selection harder, because do you pick Gayle or bravo, Tendulkar or Dhoni.
I would go with this side in ODI's...
1. Gayle (WI)
2. Smith (SA)
3. Ponting (AUS)
4. Pietersen (ENG)
5. Dhoni (IN)
6. Sakib-Ul-Hussain (BAN)
7.Vettori (NZ)
8. Price (ZIM)
9. Johnson (AUS)
10. Mendis (SL)
11. Aameer (PAK)
I know it is a little batsmen heavy and i don't really make use of much pace. But i like the balance of the side, maybe i could use one more fast bowler. An option would be to drop Smith and bring in Kallis, but he doesn't really bowl much these days. Or maybe replace Vettori for Bond, .
Your Pick?

Re: Your Pick?
Sehwag is certainly a great player but I wouldn't rate him as high as Bradman. The only player who even comes close to Bradman is Sachin Tendulkar. Sir Donald Bradman is statistically the most dominant sportsmen in the history of sport.
Sehwag was certainly in my thoughts when I selected my team along with Gautam Gambhir but it was hard to choose them over MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar.
