Greentop at Dhaka for the BD-IND game with kt raining earlier in the day. Could be an embarassing tournament for us.

Indeed the first game was an embarassment.

Much needed NRR and morale boost. Another grassy wicket but not as green as the India game.

Our pace spearheads are doing well though, max speeds so far:

Taskin 91.3 mph (146.9 kph)
Mustafizur 88.9 mph

Wahab and Amir both clocked over 150 kph today. Will be interesting to see how quick Taskin and Chameera go. Chameera failed to break 90 mph vs UAE for some reason.

Bangladesh in very good position to try and make it to the final well ahead of Pak on net run rate atm. Just need to make sure we don't get annhilated by Pakistan. I think we have a slight edge over them as I rate our pace attack as nearly as good as theirs at the moment. Amir slight edge over Mustafiz. Then Taskin-Mash-Al Amin not being too far behind Wahab-Irfan-Sami. We have a slight edge in batting.

Huge blow...thats 50 percent of our bowling firepower. Fortunately, 50% of a lot is still a sizeble amount!

Will be good to see Abu Haider as I'd have had him in over Al Amin in the beginnig. Taskin will now have to lead the pace attack as he's bowled superbly so far!

Tamim is also back. Our top order has been woeful so far...should get some stability now if not explosiveness.

And Taskin stepped up to take over spearhead with Mustafiz out. 1-14 off 4 overs on a bouncy but fairly flat track. Clocked 147.7 clicks today as well. Getting closer to his goal of being the first Bangladeshi to 150 kph inshAllah.

BD making the finals was very much on the cards given how well they have progressed in the pace bowling department over the last year and a half (Streak, take a bow again) and their choice of bouncy wickets for this series. Also because how bad SL and Pak have become in their batting department. Final is a one-off match, anything can happen.
