It could be a tight series, 3-2 either way. But I hope the Afghans win it 4-1 or better. Unlikely though as Ireland warmed up well in the UAE and Afghanistan's batting stinks. Still these are familiar conditions for the Afghans.

Ireland thrashed again. But lets see what happens in the ODIs...my guess is the games will be much closer given Afghanistan get worse the longer they have to bat while the Irish get stronger the longer the format.

Mohammad Nabi just played a blinder. 89 off 29 with 9 HUGE sixes. This McCarthy guy went for 69 off 4. 69! 69 is expensive even in ODIs

Might be just the confidence boost Afghans need to obliterate the Irish in the ODI series and IC Cup match. They drew 2-2 in Ireland last summer with one game washed out I believe.

338 for Afghanistan today, their highest-ever ODI total. And wasn't Stirling an off-spinner? It was interesting to see him bowl legbreaks today, he got considerable turn and bounce. His figures are now the best by an Irish bowler in ODIs.
